It isn’t really the best because you can’t dial in frequencies on the fly, but it can work just fine if you don’t need to do that. The ham bands don’t have as many restrictions, so that radio is fine for amateur radio UHF as well. I have a TK-880H which (at least on the spec sheet it says) is Part 95 certified so it can be used for GMRS. He asked if there are any radios that can operate on both services. OP on the Facebook group has a GMRS license, and is working on getting his ham technician license.
